On Thursday night, In a very rare incident of its kind a girl allegedly threw acid on a boy’s face because he refused her marriage proposal. Raj Kumar Pal, a resident of Rasra area in Ballia district refused to marry his neighbour because he was not ready for it. What he didn’t know was the repercussions of his refusal would cost him a lot.
According to the reports, Raj Kumar Pal was sleeping on the terrace when the girl attacked him and allegedly threw acid on his face. Pal sustained serious burns on his face and he was rushed to the district hospital from where he was referred to Varanasi for treatment. On Friday Pal’s mother Kanta Devi lodged an FIR with Rasra police station against the girl. The girl was arrested on Friday under section 326A.
This rare case has clearly established that guys can fall victim to such attacks too. We hope he recovers at the soonest!
Women are not the only victims of acid attacks!
